The A.V. Club's Undercover series gives us another gem, this time featuring the New Jersey indie punk band Screaming Females covering pop diva Taylor Swift's hit song "Shake It Off." Watch above on YouTube.
Things start with a rock solid take on the tricky drum beat from Jarrett Dougherty. Frontwoman Marissa Paternoster shines on vocals and guitar, while bassist Mike King keeps the groove going. This is a fun performance of T. Swift's song that ruled the airwaves for much of late 2014. The sound is completely different, but the spirit is about the same.
Screaming Females' latest album, Rose Mountain, is now available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).
