Jamband heavyweights Phish have released an 8-CD box set titled Amsterdam. The music features three complete shows recorded live at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1997: February 1st, July 1st, and July 2nd.

The venue was a church that was converted to a rock club and had a capacity of about 1500. These shows found the band pushing their musical boundaries to the limit with songs like "Divided Sky," "Stash," and "Carini" (which was the first live performance of this song). The setlist also includes fan favorites such as "Bathtub Gin," "Down With Disease," "Free," and "David Bowie."

There are lots of unique moments during these 7+ hours of music, like the "Wormtown Jam" when Trey Anastasio warned the audience about getting sucked down the urinals of Amsterdam into the canal where killer giant worms live. Highly recommended jams according to phish.net: "Carini," "Ghost," "Cities" (Talking Heads cover), "Stash," and "Llama." Let us know if you have any favorite moments or songs in the comment section below.

Pick up Amsterdam on Amazon (CD, MP3). You can also stream the full album above, via Spotify.
