Hip hop artist Matt Winter aka The Season reigns from the Long Island collective “3H - Hip Hop Heads.” Along with 3H members Status, D-Wise, WLP, Tha Kid Jae, Cide, and Alphamale, The Season has created an undeniable movement in the L.I. hip hop scene. Earlier this month, The Season dropped his new EP, The 631. Check it above on the SoundCloud stream.

The EP is fully produced by Gerald Stigmata Staugaitis, owner of Stigmata Productions. The title came not only from the area code of The Season’s hometown in Suffolk County, Long Island but his own date of birth June 3, 1991. He fully owns these numbers throughout his music but specifically in the title track, “631.”

It is clear that positivity, love, and the help of his supporters is what keeps The Season dedicated to his goals. His lyricism focuses on pursuing his dreams and trusting himself in the process. It makes for very inspiring music. Check the track “Don’t Let It Get You Down” if you’re in need of some motivation. In “Nothing But Love” featuring Tha Kid Jae, the two go back and forth shouting out their families and others that show them love in their journey. The Season ends the track full force telling us that the MC in him cannot be contained.

The Season stays grounded to where he comes from, even with goals of taking his music worldwide. He speaks on how artists on Long Island are overlooked when thinking of New York hip hop on the track “Grain of Salt” featuring Alphamale and Status. He knows he’s being slept on and is working extra hard to shine.

Be sure to give The 631 a full listen above. You can follow The Season on Twitter and Instagram or keep up with his latest music, news, and tour dates right here on his Zumic Artist Page.
