Most "normal" people probably wouldn't go drinking in a seedy part of Thailand, but then again, The Libertines aren't your normal band. Watch their music video for "Gunga Din" above and join them in their expedition. Be warned, the song doesn't start until 29 seconds in.

Directed by Roger Sargent, the video sees bad boy Pete Doherty, Carl Barât, and the band taking a stroll past scantily clad women and seedy Go-Go clubs while chugging beer and taking in the sights and sounds.

"Gunga Din" shifts from mid-tempo verses to swelling choruses, with elements of surf and ska rock in the guitars. The song sets a somewhat moody and mischievous vibe, which suits The Libertines. It's also interesting to note that the song's title is the same as a 1892 poem from Rudyard Kipling.

Anthems for Doomed Youth will be the band's first studio album since their self-titled 2004 LP. It will be released on September 4th via Harvest Records, and you can pick it up on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).
