Courtney Barnett has released a Spotify Session with Spoon drummer Jim Eno and the results are killer.

The set features three live songs which all hail from Barnett's 2015 debut album Sometimes I Sit and Think, Sometimes I Just Sit.

Recorded at this past SXSW festival in Austin, TX, Barnett and her band flex their rock and roll chops on "Elevator Operator," "Pedestrian At Best," and "An Illustration of Loneliness (Sleepless in New York)," three very distinct songs.

The first track, "Elevator Operator," with it's hand-claps and strong rhythm are vaguely reminiscent of The Rolling Stones. Meanwhile, grungy, crowd pleasers like "An Illustration of Loneliness (Sleepless in New York)" have drawn Barnett comparisons to late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

Barnett, in the midst of her own North American tour on the heels of her album's positive reception, will also open for Blur in October at Madison Square Garden and The Hollywood Bowl.

Pick up a copy of Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).
