Phish are about to wrap up their 2015 summer tour with their Magnaball festival this weekend in Watkins Glen, NY. Today, they've shared a live clip of "Scents and Subtle Sounds" from their August 12 Philadelphia show. Watch it above via the band's YouTube.
"Scents and Subtle Sounds" is from Phish's 2004 studio album Undermind. This fifteen minute version begins with the album's short "Intro," which has a reggae feel. Effortlessly, the band segues into the full song, including a deep jam colored by Page's sparkling keys, Mike's floating bass, and Trey's hypnotic guitar riffs. They gradually build the intensity to a fevered point, bolstered by stage lighting, Fishman's eclectic drumming and howls emitting from Trey's guitar. You can clearly see the fans enjoying the ride, which Phish always delivers.
Watch the previously shared 2015 tour performances of "Seven Below," "Simple," "Twist > Light," "Bathtub Gin," "Kill Devil Falls," and "Tweezer" here on Zumic.
