You can always count on Lupe Fiasco to cause your brain to explode when listening to his new music. His last release, Tetsuo & Youth, was a lyrical maze. Now with Pharoah Height 2/30, released on August 30th, he continues to take his fans on a journey through a wordsmith's wonderland incorporated with Egyptian symbols.

The title, Pharoah Height 2/30, has us thinking of his 3-part 2006 mixtape series called Fahrenheit 1/15. The Chicago rapper unveiled the artwork of the mixtape as well as the track list on Instagram two months ago. Posted without a caption, we didn't necessarily know if a new project was coming. Now, it's here and has reached over 27,000 downloads on the popular mixtape website datpiff.com in just a few days.

At 23½ minutes, Pharaoh Height 2/30 is a brief yet hypnotizing project equipped with storytelling, experimental sounds, and enigmatic wordplay. The 6-track tape features production from J. Dilla, Flying Lotus, and The Weeknd. Listen above, as Lupe shows his fans that music will always stand out in this generation.

Fiasco has been busy lately. On Facebook, he asked fans to send back copies of his 2011 album, Lasers, to be destroyed with actual lasers:

My 3rd musically related thing I want to accomplish this year is not to make another album but to do something waaaay stupider...I want to unmake an album. I watched the ATARI E.T. documentary and got inspired. So here's my idea. For all you people who really hated my 3rd album LASERS for whatever reason in the universe I want you to send it back to me so I can destroy it with an actual Laser. You not getting any money back or an apology or anything like that. The fact still remains that a lot of people really loved LASERS (Me Included) despite the popular myth that it's one of the worst rap albums ever but sometimes the myth can be stronger than the truth. ...

He also told Revolt.TV that he is writing 2 new albums simultaneously! The titles of the albums are Skulls and the Cool 2, the sequel to his 2007 sophomore album Lupe Fiasco's The Cool.
