Los Colognes bring it back to the '80s with their new music video for "Baby, You Can't Have Both." Watch above, via YouTube.
The obvious '80s reference is the sitcom-style video, making you feel like you're watching the opening or closing credits while you're watching the band and their friends introduced as hilarious characters. The less obvious reference is to the Bo Diddley beat as adapted by the Grateful Dead on songs like "Iko Iko" and "Throwing Stones." The lead guitar lines ring out loud and clear and the playful vocals are a nice match for the video, which was shot in Nashville.
The song comes from the album Dos, which is available on Bandcamp and Spotify.
