Grunge rockers JEFF the Brotherhood have shared their version of Mazzy Star's 1993 song "Mary Of Silence" that is sure to knock your psychedelic socks off. Listen to it above.
While the Mazzy Star original version spans just over six minutes, JEFF the Brotherhood's spans nearly nine-and-a-half minutes. The vocals lose their haunting, echo effect in exchange for distorted, fuzzed-out riffs that swim in a psychedelic pool of stretched out guitar notes. One can't help but get sucked into the hypnotic drumming as well as the minor electronic touches.
This version of "Mary Of Silence" will be included on JEFF the Brotherhood's next studio album, Global Chakra Rhythms, which is set for a November 13, 2015 release via Infinity Cat Recordings. Pick it up on Amazon.
