Sometimes, when you hear a particular song, it may conjure up past memories and specific emotions. For Pink Floyd fans, "Comfortably Numb" is one of those moving pieces of music that hits the soul. Above, you can listen to former Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters perform a live version of the classic during his recent tour performing the 1979 double-LP The Wall in its entirety.

The song is part of a new film documenting those concerts called Roger Waters the Wall, which was released to a limited number of movie theaters in 2014. The Blu-ray for Roger Waters the Wall will be available December 1, 2015 via Amazon. The film's soundtrack will be available November 20, 2015 via Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).

I've seen the film, and it is great. In addition to the concert footage, there are incredible interviews with Roger Waters and a powerful scene in which he visits his father's resting ground, a memorial for soldiers who were killed in Italy during World War II. I happened to bump into Waters at the Ziegfeld Theatre after the film's screening in NYC, and I told him, "Great film." Ever the gentleman, he responded, "Thank you."
