Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard has established himself as a solo artist in the last few years, after launching his career as the vocalist and guitarist for The Frames in the '90s and switching things up in folk rock duo The Swell Season in the '00s. Today, he has released a new song called "Didn't He Ramble" on YouTube. Listen above.
"Didn't He Ramble" is a powerful song featuring intellectual lyrics, complex instrumentation, and incredible vocal harmonies. The bass and drums lay down a nice slow groove, while the guitar and horn parts bring intensity to the track.
In 2015, Hansard released the Didn't He Ramble LP, which was nominated for a Best Folk Album Grammy. This song wasn't on that album, but will be one of the tracks on Hansard's upcoming solo EP A Season On The Line, which includes four unreleased songs.
Didn't He Ramble is available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).
