"Lover Come Back" - City and Colour [Official YouTube Music Video]

Last month City & Colour, the pseudonym of Canadian singer-songwriter Dallas Green, released a music video for "Lover Come Back." Watch above.

While most lovesick songs are cliché and one-sided, "Lover Come Back" is a well-crafted, lighthearted tune with a more positive outlook. Green's emotional vocals are paired well with energetic, short guitar riffs and vibrant harmonies. The single appears on City and Colour's 2015 LP, If I Should Go Before You, which features more full-band instrumentation than C&C's earlier, more acoustic-leaning albums.

The concept of the music video is very simple, which goes with the song perfectly. It follows a man as he performs a lovely ballet routine in different settings. He is first shown in what seems to be an abandoned concert hall that is filled with debris and then is later shown in a field and other natural surroundings.
