Australian rock band Wolfmother will release their fourth studio album, Victorious, next week via Universal Records.

The LP, featuring ten songs covering nearly 36 minutes, was recorded at Henson Recording Studios in Hollywood, California, and was produced by Brendan O'Brien. For Victorious, frontman Andrew Stockdale recorded the vocals, guitar, and bass parts with contributions on drums coming from Joey Waronker and Josh Freese, and Ian Peres supplying keyboard parts.

Right off the bat, Victorious opens up with high energy rock tunes "The Love That You Give" and "Victorious." "Baroness" is a mid-tempo rocker that's drips with swagger as Stockdale sings, "Tonight, won't you be my valentine?"

"Pretty Peggy" shows the band's softer side, with acoustic guitar strumming and an uplifting chorus. It doesn't take long for Wolfmother to get back into rock mode though, as "City Lights" delivers energized guitar riffs, firm bass, and Andrew Stockdale’s one-of-a-kind vocals.

Black Sabbath-esque guitar riffs drive "The Simple Life" and "Gypsy Caravan," while still maintaining the band's recognizable rock sound. "Eye Of The Beholder" closes out the album in true rock fashion with thunderous drums, hypnotic guitar riffs, and drum rolls that would make the late John Bonham proud.

The songs we like most are "Victorious," "City Lights," "The Simple Life," "Gypsy Caravan," and "Eye Of The Beholder."

Pick up Victorious on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3). It's set for a February 19, 2016 release. You can stream the full album above, via Spotify.

The band will be embarking on a North Americantour in support of Victorious beginning in late February.
