Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard released his four song EP, A Season On The Line, running for a brief 17 minutes.

Glen began his musical career in the 90's as the vocalist and guitarist for indie rock band The Frames. He was also one half of folk rock duo, The Swell Season. Glen's first solo work includes his 2012 solo album, Rhythm and Repose and his 2015 second grammy-nominated full length, Didn't He Ramble.

The EP kicks off with "Didn't He Ramble," a powerful song with compelling lyrics and forceful horns. The second track, "Way Back in the Way Back When," features foot stomping beats and funky guitar riffs.

Things slow down with the sentimental tune, "Let Me In," where Glen sings pleadingly over breezy acoustic strums and light key touches. "Return" wraps up the EP with a gradual build up to a booming chorus full of riveting strings and elongated vocals. The song fades out with a simple guitar melody over a light-hearted piano, maybe a sign that Glen will "return" soon with more music.

You can pick up A Season On The Line on Amazon and stream it above via Spotify.
