On Record Store Day 2016 — mark your calendar, April 16 — Virginia label Robotic Empire will release Doused In Mud, Soaked In Bleach, a collection of Nirvana covers performed by some of indie rock's up-and-coming bands. Above, you can listen to one of those included tracks, a dynamic cover of "Love Buzz" from Philadelphia's Circa Survive.

"Love Buzz" was originally written and recorded by a Dutch band called Shocking Blue in 1969 for their album At Home. Nirvana would go on to cover the song and include it on their 1989 debut album, Bleach.

Circa Survive's version stays truer to Nirvana's take of the song with heavily distorted guitars, a swirling bass line, and hard-hitting drums. If you're a fan of the band, you might remember their cover of Nirvana's "Drain You" that was also part of a compilation for Record Store Day last year.

Other artists on the collection include Beach Slang, Basement, This Will Destroy You, and more. The 13 track album is available through Robotic Empire's bandcamp website, and will be carried at record stores around the world.
