On May 20, 2016, guitar "God" Eric Clapton will release I Still Do, his 23rd studio album. Today, he's released the first single from the LP, titled "Can't Let You Do It." Check out the lyric video above, via Eric's YouTube.
"Can't Let You Do It" sees Clapton continuing to be a master craftsman of writing breezy rock tunes. Hints of the late JJ Cale, whom Eric admired, can be heard in the song's DNA. Slide guitar, funky horns, background vocals, piano, and Clapton's distinctive guitar playing all gel together as he sings about woman troubles.
The vintage looking video is equally as creative, as we see a woman painting and drawing the song's lyrics on canvases in her art studio.
