If you've ever wondered what an acid-soaked version of David Bowie's classic song "Space Oddity" would sound like, The Flaming Lips can show you. Above, watch a delightfully strange music video the band created.

The band transforms the 1969 song by adding electronic beats and haunting background effects. Musically, they don't stray too far away from the Bowie version, but certainly add enough characteristics to make it unique.

The video sees the band performing the song in a church full of balloons and lasers while 2 nuns take "protein pills," which lead to them experiencing a euphoric feeling. Trippy indeed!

You can pick up the single on Amazon.
