Prophets of Rage — the new supergroup featuring members of Rage Against The Machine with Public Enemy's Chuck D and Cypress Hill's B-Real and DJ Lord — have shared a new song titled "Prophets of Rage." Listen to it above, courtesy of the band's YouTube.

While the YouTube description calls this a "New original song," it takes quite a few lyrics from the Public Enemy's song of the same name which appeared on 1988's It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back. The song is fierce piece of art with determined vocals from Chuck D and B-Real. A strong chorus of "Clear the way" is supported by Tom Morello's distorted guitar riffs and Brad Wilk's vigorous drumming.

The band tweeted a message about the song earlier this afternoon, saying, "In a year we won't soon forget, 'Prophets of Rage' is a song/band for those who feel they no longer have a voice."

In related news, the band announced that they'll be performing a free show at the Republican National Convention today in Cleveland, Ohio. It's scheduled to begin at 1 PM at the End Poverty Now! rally at 1416 E. 47th Street. They'll also be playing The Agora in Cleveland tomorrow as part of their RNC protest.

The band is scheduled to begin their Make America Rage Again 2016 tour on August 19. For more music, news, and tour information, check out their Zumic artist page.
