This week, folk-rock artist Lissie has released the music video for the track "Wild West" off of her fourth album, My Wild West. Watch it above on YouTube.

"Wild West" is a guitar and synth-based track with a catchy folk-pop hook and lyrics that could be described as a love letter to independence and happiness. The music video is equally joyful, following the adventures of four young brothers, with ages ranging from 6 to 12, as they play, pretend, and dance to the song. The video has a rural flair that matches Lissie's lyrics, and is especially unique because it was "directed" by the four children it stars. According to a Facebook post from director Talain Rayne,

I'm very proud of this video. Even more proud of the boys in it. I dropped off a camera last month and told these four brothers they were filming Lissie's next music video. I left them with a video camera, and a week later came back to pick up the footage. The boys have yet to see this music video and will be having their own premiere in August, red carpet and all.

My Wild West is available on Amazon. You can also stream the album for free and read our review right here on Zumic.
