The latest single shared by California-based Americana trio The Devil Makes Three is a cover of Bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley's "I Am The Man, Thomas" — a rollicking bluegrass gospel tune with the graphic description of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection adapted from the Bible chapter John 20:24-29.

Taken from their forthcoming studio LP, Redemption & Ruin, The Devil Makes Three's rendition of "I Am The Man, Thomas" has a heavy edge with a crisp, modern sound. Sharing the album with covers of Blues classics like Robert Johnson's "Drunken Hearted Man" and Muddy Waters's "Champagne And Reefer," "I Am The Man, Thomas" is an unexpected but fitting addition to a dark collection of American songs.

Redemption & Ruin is scheduled for release on September 16, 2016. Pick it up on Amazon.
