Musical Mojo of Dr. John: A Celebration of Mac & His Music, a 2 CD + DVD live recording, will be released on October 14, 2016.

The collection features a great collection of talent celebrating the music of Dr. John at a live concert held at the Saenger Theatre in New Orleans. Above, you can watch John Fogerty's take of Gary U.S. Bonds' "New Orleans" — a song that Dr. John performed and recorded.

Backed by an all-star cast of musicians including Don Was on bass and Kenny Aronoff on drums, Fogerty delivers a high-energy performance of the soulful original. He gets the crowd fired up, and a flawless saxophone solo keeps the energy flowing.

Dr. John shared a quote about the night's event with Rolling Stone:

It was very moving to have all these people paying tribute to me, but I just treated it like it was another show... The whole night felt pretty special, and everyone's performance was spiritually correct.
