Grateful Dead founding member Bob Weir has shared a third single from his upcoming solo album, Blue Mountain, which was recorded with The National. Listen to "Lay My Lily Down" above, courtesy of Weir's YouTube.

Written with lyricist Josh Ritter and producer Josh Kaufman, the song has a haunting feel to it supported by strong percussion and acoustic picking. The vibe matches the chorus's dark lyrics as Weir sings, "Dig a hole, dig a hole in the meadow, Dig a hole in the cold, cold ground, Dig a hole, dig a hole in the meadow, To lay my Lily down."

Blue Mountain is scheduled to be released on September 30, 2016. Pick it up on Amazon. Other songs Bob has shared from the upcoming album are "Only a River" and "Gonesville."

Weir has also announced 2016 North American Campfire Tour dates that will be in support of the upcoming LP.
