Quilt have shared a music video for "Eliot St.," a track from their 2016 album, Plaza. Watch it above, courtesy of their record label Mexican Summer's YouTube.

The band shared a comment about the video and current state of affairs in America on Mexican Summer's website:

We hope that our simple gift of music can soothe any discomfort or pain caused by the extreme political news we are all currently dealing with. It’s surreal to experience the election over here in Europe, where we are currently on tour, but we’ll be home next week and are looking forward to reflecting a lot on the state of affairs and staying grateful as we swing into Thanksgiving season.

Speaking of home, we filmed this video on 16 mm film in Boston, the city in which we formed back in 2009. It was directed by Charlotte Hornsby and we had a blast making it. We thought it would be nice to return to our old stomping grounds for this one.

"Eliot St." is a mellow tune, but the strong backbeat and expert musicianship keep the energy going strong. You can hear echoes of The Beatles' psychedelic rock style that draws from folk tradition while also incorporating lush strings.

Plaza is currently available on Amazon. You can also stream the full album and read our review here on Zumic.
