Blue-haired warrior Halsey shared a dramatic music video for the new single, "Now Or Never," off her highly anticipated album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom.
"Now Or Never" is full of rowdy beats and electronic riffs. The video is the first directed by Halsey, and feels like a short film with dialogue between the music. The intense story follows forbidden love and heartache in a war zone. Be forewarned, it does get graphic! Halsey talked more about the single in a statement:
[It] is one part in the center of a long narrative that tells the story of two people in love despite the forces trying to keep them apart... On its own, the song is about two impatient young lovers, but in the context of the Hopeless Fountain Kingdom universe, the stakes are much higher for these two star-crossed lovers.
Hopeless Fountain Kingdom is set to be released on June 2, 2017. Pick it up on Amazon.
Halsey's debut album, Badlands, peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 in 2015. Her latest release was "Not Afraid Anymore," which was a part of the Fifty Shades Darker movie soundtrack. She was also featured on electronic duo The Chainsmoker's hit single, "Closer."
