Paul Simon and Stephen Colbert Interview
Paul Simon Performs 'Question For The Angels' With Bill Frisell
Things start with a humerous take on the Simon & Garfunkel classic "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)" from their 1966 album Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme. Simon says he loathes the song because it feels naive, and dated. As the two change the lyrics, they are joined by Jon Batiste and his tuba player.
During the interview, Simon re-asserts that he hates "The 59th Street Bridge Song" and talks with Stephen about donating profits from his upcoming tour to E.O. Wilson's Biodiversity Foundation. To close things out, Simon plays a lovely version of "Question For The Angels" from his 2011 album So Beautiful Or So What with guitarist Bill Frisell. It is the first time he has performed the song live.
Paul Simon's tour begins in June. For the full tour dates, links to buy tickets, and more music, check out Paul Simon's Zumic artist page.
