Norah Jones shared her tribute performance of Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" to the recently departed Chris Cornell.
Recorded during her concert at Detroit's Fox Theatre, it is a beautiful performance and completely different from Soundgarden's 1994 original. Norah's voice sounds incredible and her piano playing takes the song in a direction toward classic soul and jazz while still capturing some of the uniquely dark energy that made "Black Hole Sun" such an enduring hit.
Stick around for some beautiful camerawork showing the outside of the venue and the city at the 6:30 mark. Norah's YouTube page gives a film credit to Ed Davis.
