The Hamilton musical continues to evolve and grow beyond its origins as a musical about Alexander Hamilton.

The show has been one of the hottest tickets on Broadway for years now, and for good reason. The music and writing are great, the acting is superb, and the story is as important and captivating as ever. Last year, The Hamilton Mixtape reinvented the music of Original Broadway Cast Recording with the help of A-list artists like Nas, The Roots, Sia, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Chance The Rapper, and Wiz Khalifa.

Today, a music video was released for the song "Immigrants (We Get The Job Done)" featuring K'naan with Residente, Riz MC, and Snow Tha Product. Check it out above, via YouTube. Mashable points out that these artists are all immigrants themselves: a Somali Canadian, Puerto Rican, British Pakistani, and Mexican-American, respectively.

The hook for the song comes from the Hamilton song "Yorktown (The World Turned Upside Down)" as sung by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Daveed Diggs. The actors play Alexander Hamilton and Marquis de Lafayette, immigrants from the British West Indies and France who were instrumental in helping the colonies win the American Revolutionary War. Miranda shared his thoughts on Genius last year about the song in the context of the Donald Trump fear mongering over immigration:

This election cycle has brought xenophobia and vilification of immigrants back to the forefront of US politics. This is a musical counterweight.

On the lineup we have K’naan, Snow Tha Product, Riz MC and Residente: Each MC culturally represents from a different place on the map. These are my favorite MCs from all over the world. They can speak to this theme from their brilliant perspectives.

Miranda has also recently started the Immigrants: We Get the Job Done Coalition, with a mission "to advocate for fair and humane immigration reform" through partner organizations promoting advocacy in areas ranging from education and health to economic empowerment and civic engagement.

Tickets are now available to see Hamilton in New York, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

The Hamilton Mixtape and the Hamilton Original Broadway Cast Recording are available on Amazon and most streaming services.
