Last week, Phish kicked off their summer tour with a 3-night stand at the Huntington Bank Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois. Recently, the band shared pro-shot footage of their performance of "Simple" from the July 15th show. Watch it above, courtesy of Phish's YouTube.
This 27+ minute version proves that the group can still excite their fans with exceptional improvisational jams. Throughout the video the band settles into a relaxed groove, with Page creating a spacey keyboard vibe while Trey, Mike, and Jon hold a tight rhythm. At about the 13 minute mark, the band taps into their Pink Floyd side with a subtle prog rock jam, allowing Chris Kuroda's dazzling stage lighting to be on full display.
