Seattle group Foo Fighters have shared a music video for "The Sky Is A Neighborhood," the second single from their upcoming album, Concrete and Gold. Watch it above, courtesy of the band's YouTube channel.

Directed by frontman Dave Grohl, the video shows his two daughters, Violet and Harper, in a cabin while the band performs under a star-filled sky on the roof above them.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Dave shared the inspiration behind the song and video:

I was laying down in the grass, looking up at the night sky in Hawaii, and I was reminded of this Neil DeGrasse Tyson video that I had watched called, "The Most Astounding Fact." And I've always been a sky-watcher since I was a kid. I've always just stared at the sky and waited for a sign. And so I wrote the song "The Sky is a Neighborhood" based on that.

It's crazy because a lot of that is based on dreams that I've had about 20 years ago, where I was walking along this coastal city in Italy just as the sun was going down and the stars were coming out and then the sky just imploded into millions of UFOs swarming around. So everyone just fell to the ground and looked up, and there were these films being projected in the sky of the evolution of man, and the new territories, and how they'll be divided, and why we're here and how we were created. Just this really trippy dream that stayed with me my entire life... It seemed like all that imagery fell into place with the lyrics of the song.

In June, the band shared a music video for the upcoming album's lead single, titled "Run."

Concrete and Gold is scheduled to be released on September 15, 2017. Pick it up on Amazon.

In case you missed it, the band announced 2017 North America tour dates that are scheduled to begin in October. For concert tickets and more, check out the Foo Fighters Zumic artist page.
