Beck has released a new single from his upcoming album Colors, which is scheduled to be released on October 13 via Capitol Records. Check out the lyric video for "Dear Life" above, courtesy of the artist's YouTube channel.
The vibrant tune features a bouncy ragtime-esque piano part, precise electric guitar phrases, and a soaring chorus. While the music is lively, the lyrics are contemplative and insecure, forming tension in the track. Beck sings, "Dear life I’m holding on, how long must I wait before the thrill is gone / Dear life come and pick me up, dear life I think the button's stuck, dear life I think it’s gone too far, dear life please lower the bar lower than the stars."
The colorful video for "Dear Life" follows recent singles "Dreams" and "Wow." Pre-order a copy of Colors on Beck's webstore.
