Radiohead's frontman Thom Yorke has been hitting the waves with his Atoms For Peace bandmate and Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea. The experience has helped Yorke enjoy patience as a new found virtue in the studio. Though he is still "pretty crap at it", Yorke told The Observer that he "used always to try to force things, in the studio," and continued, "But it's like, you can sit out there on a board for ages waiting for the right wave to come along. You can't get angry about it. You know it will happen eventually and you start to understand the waiting itself might be part of it. Part of the fun."

Flea and York, alongside Joey Waronker drummer with Beck and REM; Mauro Refosco, a Brazilian percussionist who plays with David Byrne; and Nigel Godrich, just released Atoms For Peace album Amok through XL Recordings.
