In the wake of the tragedy at the Boston Marathon, the Dropkick Murphys have announced a concert to benefit the victims and families hurt by the bombings.
The concert will take place on April 28th at the Boston House of Blues. From the band's website:
Boston-based band Dropkick Murphys are happy to announce a benefit concert in Boston this Sunday at House of Blues. This will be a special daytime matinee show, so that entire families can take part in the event. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m., and the first band will start at 1 p.m. The bill on Sunday will also include State Radio, Big D and The Kids, The Parkington Sisters, Old Brigade and Barroom Heroes. Tickets to Sunday’s show are on sale today, and can be purchased here.
The band has already raised over $150,000 through sales of their new "For Boston" t-shirts, available here, and plan on continuing to donate through their charity, The Claddagh Fund.
