Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong posted an unbecoming picture of K-Pop star PSY on his Instagram account with the caption "This dude is the herpes of music. Once you think it's gone, it comes back." He included the hashtags "#herpes," "#flareup," and "#pleasegoaway."
PSY, however, immediately squashed the beef by thanking Billie Joe during an interview with Fuse. "I kinda like it, it's cool," the singer said. "So he's saying I'm like herpes? I should say something to him. What was his name? Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day, he's saying I'm like herpes, it keeps coming back. I think it's really cool and I appreciate that. Thank you."
It's becoming increasingly clear that PSY is actually a total Gentleman. And perhaps Mr. Armstrong should think twice about bashing another artist who will graciously take an insult as a compliment. I mean, come on, man. That's just flame-wars 101.
