Interlocken, a new, 4-day music festival taking place September 5th to 8th in Arrington, Virgina, announced its initial lineup of artists. According to their press release, the artists featured include Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Zac Brown, The String Cheese Incident, Furthur, and The Black Crowes.

Interlocken is a new festival founded by music industry veterans Dave Frey (H.O.R.D.E. Festival) and Peter Shapiro (owner of the Brooklyn Bowl). The two have come together to create a festival that keeps to their ideals and traditions of continuous music and environmental sustainability. There will be two stages present, so that when one act ends, the next begins right away, keeping the music going constantly. Food and drink will also be locally sourced, and recycling and carbon offsetting programs will keep with Interlocken's green initiatives.

Interlocken will also focus on "quality over quantity," featuring fewer artists performing longer sets. Rather than trying to cram in as many big acts from every genre as they can, the acts they have selected will perform multiple sets over the four days, as well as performing with each other in new combinations to make things even more interesting.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, May 23rd. So get them when you can, because this will be the first Interlocken Music Festival, and it's off to a very big start.
