It all started at last year's Summer Jam when Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg took the stage to hype the crowd and said this, "Now hold on, before I get to the real hip-hop shit of the day, because I see the real hip-hop heads sprinkled in here, I see 'em. I know there's some chicks here waiting to sing 'Starships' later, I'm not talking to y'all right now, fuck that bullshit. I'm here to talk about real hip-hop shit."

Beef ensued. The Young Money Camp boycotted the event in response and a year of beef between Minaj fans and "real hip hop heads" took place over Twitter and the rest of the 'net. Program Director Ebro even went as far as making this claim.

Well, in an attempt to build a bridge between the opposing camps, Minaj recently went back to Hot 97 to sit down with Rosenberg and a very "extra" Ebro to defend herself against accusations of selling out and not being a true MC. It's a great interview that shows a level of maturity that would come to the surprise of many, especially if you've seen some of Minaj's antics on American Idol. This should serve as a blueprint for beef reconciliation for other artists: get in a room and talk about it like adults. And for our purposes, please film it.

Rosenberg also made a dope "Make Up Mix" of Minaj tunes to further prove he's a fan.
