Paul McCartney's touring DJ, Chris Holmes, has posted this fabulous 40 song mix of Beatles, Paul McCartney, Wings, and various artists covering that material on his SoundCloud as a free download & stream. Titled "Beatles / Paul McCartney / Wings DJ set 2013" and running for almost 107 minutes total, it's an incredible trip through some of the trippiest music that's ever been made. If you've seen Paul McCartney concert over the past couple years, these electronic remix versions of Sir Paul's material will sound familiar from the house music before the show.

Highlights for me included Dobby Dobson's reggae version of "Carry That Weight," Erol Alkan's remix of "Hey Bulldog," Charles Wright's version of "Here Comes the Sun," and Junior Parker's "Tomorrow Never Knows," although the whole mix is pretty fantastic and definitely worth a listen for hardcore Beatles fans who love the obscure stuff as much as the big hits.

This comes the same day that Darkside's Nicolas Jaar released a John Lennon tribute mix called "Our World" which you can hear right here at Zumic.

Here's what Chris Holmes had to say about the DJ Set, along with the complete tracklist (and high quality FLAC download for audiophiles a.k.a. "nerds"):

I finally had some time to put together a mix for all of you who've been asking over the years of my beatles/mccartney stuff for tour. It's about 2hrs long. I hope you enjoy. I've had the best time in the history of the world making the tracks and putting it together.

here is a FLAC version for nerds

It starts off at 88bpm and speeds up until it loops around at 176 (88bpm) completing the cycle.

It's the first time I've shared this stuff in bulk, I hope you all enjoy it

Here is four years of my Beatles/macca mixes

I am the opening act for Paul McCartney (, this a collection of some of my favorite remixes I've made over the 4 years touring with paul. I want to thank Brian Liesegang and Cory Nitta for help tweaking and ironing out a bunch of these mixes and most importantly Paul McCartney and his amazing crew for giving me the opportunity to be able to play with him on tour. It is the best job, with the nicest boss in the world.
