Garbage and Screaming Females are releasing a 10" single of Bruce Springsteen's classic "Because The Night" for record store day this year. Many know the Patti Smith version of "Because The Night" which appeared on her album Easter in 1978, but it was written by Springsteen while he was recording Darkness on The Edge of Town and he does by far the best version (in my opinion).
The version here is interesting. Marissa Paternoster, of the Screaming Females, really steals the show with her lead guitar work at the end. Her tone is awesome and she seriously rips. Check it out!
It's really cool how two bands can come together for a song like this, but hopefully this is not the mastered audio mix that will be on the official single because as the video shots change you can hear the audio changing to include what's being shot... it ends up sounding very messy and phased out during some parts.
