Australian singer-songwriter Sia has released the third music video from her sixth studio album, 1000 Forms of Fear, which peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200 list. Watch "Big Girls Cry" above on YouTube.

Once again, Sia's video features the 12-year-old Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler to tell the story behind her lyrics. The album's two previous music videos, "Chandelier" and "Elastic Heart" did as well. Ziegler, who is known for her attention grabbing dance moves, uses extreme facial expressions with head, arm, and hand movements to elaborate the emotions in the words in "Big Girls Cry."

Last year, Sia was under a bit of scrutiny when the message of her "Elastic Heart" video was misunderstood as pedophilia because it featured Maddie dancing aggressively with actor Shia Labeouf. "Big Girls Cry" might also be criticized for the suspenseful moment where Ziegler is being strangled. A set of hands appear behind her and proceeds to go around her neck leading to a shot of the dancers feet dangling in the air as she fights to be let go. The video concludes with an eerie scene of the young girl in a spotlight looking dazed and confused.

Sia and Ziegler continue to leave us in awe at their unusual and artistic videos.

1000 Forms of Fear is available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3). You can also stream the album for free right here on Zumic.
