Indie pop extraordinaire St. Vincent has released a brand new video for "Birth in Reverse." Watch above on YouTube.
The video centers around Annie Clark herself (the women behind St. Vincent) as she sings to the camera, dances like a robot, and plays some electrifying guitar bits. The celestial video backdrops come across as a little cheesy at times, but I think that's the point. By the end of the video, she's in full rock-out mode.
The song is heavily doctored with screechy blips and guitar filters. It has one of those melodies that'll stick in your head after a single listen. Dripping with super high energy, "Birth in Reverse" is a slightly eccentric, kitschy pop song that will inevitably get played on repeat.
The track is featured on her fourth, self-titled studio album, out now via Loma Vista and Republic Records. Get it now on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3). You can also stream it and read out review here on on Zumic.
