Washington indie pop quartet Chastity Belt released their full-length debut No Regrets last August and are currently releasing music videos for the record. Today, they debuted the second clip from the record, "Black Sail," which you can watch above.

The video features a devastating twist on a common horror movie topic. It opens with a group of four settlers out in the desert, burying their fallen friend. During dinner, the eldest becomes inexplicably angry and dashes off with no warning. The next morning it is discovered that he has turned into a zombie. Rather than screaming in terror or immediately shooting, there is a pause as the main female settler comes to terms with the gravity of what she has to do. It is a deeply unsettling and unnerving experience, but the way the story makes the viewer empathize with the central characters in such a short time is riveting.

The song itself is as melancholy as the video. Vocalist Julia Shapiro has a gorgeous voice and she sings the lyrics with a deep longing. The song is about not fitting in, but the video does a great job taking the subject matter and sending it in a different direction without completely abandoning the track's meaning.

No Regrets is out now via Help Yourself Records. You can buy the album on Chastity Belt's Bandcamp as well as on Amazon.
