In promotion for The Roots' upcoming album ...And Then You Shoot Your Cousin, Black Thought and Questlove sat down with Sway at Sirius XM studios on Tuesday night. Before a quick interview, Quest was on the turntables and Thought free-styled like no other.

Black Thought & Questlove Freestyle on Sirius XM:

As they are some of the best to ever do it, it's no surprise that as Quest scratched a simple drum-beat in the back, Black Thought spit absolute fire for three full minutes. Thought leaves Sway (and me) speechless after this amazing performance. If for some baffling reason, you still haven't watched the above video, in the words of the lyrical genius himself: "It would behoove you to find out about me."

Sway Interviews Questlove & Black Thought:

After an epic freestyle session, Questlove and Black Thought talk with Sway about their once controversial performance with Jay Z and how they're all "normal dudes." Thought then tells us where he feels "most at the hood of what ever city." He knows he's one of the best in the game but he wisely chooses not to wear his street cred on his sleeve, instead he'd rather be known for his "intelligence and [his] artistry." Check out out the interview above.

The Roots' ...And Then You Shoot Your Cousin will be in stores May 19th and is available for pre-order now on iTunes and Amazon
