In an emotional and dark video, Ed Sheeran elects Ray Liotta (Goodfellas, Field of Dreams) to act out the self-destruction of an aging rock star. Watch the official music video above.
Liotta goes through a violent existential crisis where he stares off sullenly into the distance, breaks his scotch glass, and goes on a drunken rampage. In a behind-the-scenes look, Sheeran says of the video, "We basically just wanted to have a dude live in a house and go a bit nuts...an old rocker." Watching the video, "A bit nuts" might be an understatement.
If this doesn't sound like a typical Ed Sheeran song, that's because it isn't. Though this is the official fourth single off of Sheerans latest album, it's actually been remixed by British group, Rudimental. The hard-driving drum and bass are not necessarily standard for Sheeran, but they compliment the video's intensity. With a shotgun touting, horse riding Ray Liotta cavorting about, matching that intensity is no small feat.
