Jennifer Lopez released the official music video for "Booty" on YouTube last night. For the video, she replaces Pitbull's guest parts with a verse from Australia's female rapper sensation, Iggy Azalea. Watch above.
After a ridiculous countdown, we see a ridiculous video. J. Lo looks great for a 45-year-old mother of two, but at one point the booty-shaking strobe effect is so absurd that it's comical. You can see great chemistry between her and the 24-year-old Iggy Azalea, and you can bet that Pitbull was not happy about being excluded from the video. The Iggy Azalea version of the song is not available for official sale or stream anywhere except what you see above. You can hear the Pibull version on Lopez's last album, A.K.A.
Hat tip to Gigwise for putting together some of the best comments on the music video from J. Lo and Iggy Azalea's Facebook pages:
The article comes a day after The New York Times published an article about booties that glorified Jennifer Lopez as one of the most influential women in terms of popular perception of beauty, as her booty was a pop culture touchstone in the '90s. What do you think, sexy or too much? Let us know in the comments.
