Since 2013, Napa Valley's BottleRock festival has been a showcase for great music, as well as Northern California's sensational food and wine scene.
This year, the music lineup features over 80 bands on five stages, headlined by Neil Young, Imagine Dragons, and Mumford & Sons, with stellar talent from top-to-bottom that also includes Pharrell Williams, Santana, Sylvan Esso, Logic, Jenny Lewis, Nathaniel Rateliff, and Tash Sultana. All the set times have been announced, and the festival has posted the full schedule on their website in addition to their mobile apps.
Like most festivals, there is a diverse field of musicians that range from pop and rock to blues, R&B, hip-hop, electronic, indie, punk, and folk. This year, BottleRock will have two acoustic stages (one for general admission and one in the VIP area) as well as a silent disco with DJs starting at around noon, giving each audience member the choice between two channels of music on the provided headphones.
For fans who want to rock all night, there are late-night shows at the Margrit Mondavi Theatre JaM Cellars Ballroom happening off the festival grounds and not included with general admission tickets. The lineup for those shows will be Gary Clark Jr, Big Boi with the Soul Rebels brass band, and Chevy Metal (featuring Foo Fighters members Taylor Hawkins and Chris Shiflett).
In the true spirit of the Napa Valley, the BottleRock festival offers a unique culinary stage that showcases chefs, musicians, and celebrities to engage with the audience around "culinary-infused antics" — unlike anything you will see at other festivals. The lineup for that stage includes Masaharu Morimoto, Aarón Sánchez, Alice Cooper, Big Boi, Too $hort, Jeff Goldblum, Ken Griffey Jr, and Andrew Zimmern. An extensive set of gourmet vendors will be offering top-flight food and drinks throughout the festival grounds. Additionally, festival-goers can enjoy a health spa, art installations, and wine cabanas which enhance the festival's luxurious environment.
General admission tickets are still available directly through the festival's website at the time of publication, but 3-day passes are sold out. You can find great deals for tickets on StubHub, which range from $75 for a single-day ticket to $200 for a 3-day pass. That means tickets are currently available for less money on the secondary market than directly through the festival, although as the festival start date gets closer that may change.
