Alabama has been at the forefront of the modern soul scene for the last few years and Birmingham's St. Paul & The Broken Bones have proven they are right there at the top. This past February they released their debut album Half The City, and a month later they were performing on CBS This Morning. They recently released a music video for their song "Call Me," watch it above.

Vocalist Paul Janeway is a powerhouse, belting out the lyrics with a heart-wrenching passion. In the video he also showcases some impressive dance moves, as he waits for a call from the woman he loves. The set is split into the band's room, where Paul and his band pass time waiting for the phone to ring. The other side is the woman's room, where she dances around, looks at herself in the mirror and teases St. Paul, incorporating a vintage phone into her routine, but always hanging it up. Will she finally call him? Watch until the end to find out.

You can buy Half Of The City on iTunes and Amazon. You can also watch them play a few songs off the album live on WFUV right here at Zumic. For more information on St. Paul & The Broken Bones, including news, music and tour dates check out their website.
