"Candler Road" - Childish Gambino [SoundCloud Audio Stream + Lyrics]

Childish Gambino has just shared one of his first new tracks since last year's Because The Internet. Check out "Candler Road" above.

Bino keeps it weird on the track, with a beat that starts out sounding like the theme to John Carpenter's Halloween and an intentionally unfinished hook. The song is a hat-tip to his hometown, with Candler Road being an especially rough patch of Decatur, GA. He calls out his smalltime critics, "Hopin' that I diss you back so I can make you famous / I'm just tired of haters," but he keeps it light and entertaining with his signature wit and wordplay. No word yet if this song will be released on a new album or mixtape, but stay tuned for more.
