The Weeknd officially premiered his latest single "Can't Feel My Face" yesterday at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference. At which, Apple unveiled its new streaming service, Apple Music.
The nature of "Can't Feel My Face" comes as a surprise to many fans. The Weeknd ditches his infamous dark and sultry demeanor, instead adopting the funky, pop beats of producer Max Martin. This new sound is comparable to the late Michael Jackson. We do notice The Weeknd's original style and use of symbolism however, in the few lyrics that appear in the song, for example, "I can't feel my face when I'm with you / And I love it," depicting the personification of a drug high by associating it with the company of a woman.
“Can’t Feel My Face” is the second single from The Weeknd’s upcoming studio album, Chapter III, following "The Hills."
"Can't Feel My Face" is now available on iTunes.
