The soundtrack for the upcoming movie about CBGB has been released, and as expected it is made up of tracks from all the big names of the era. The film tells the story about the beginnings of the club and the punk rock scene in New York City. CBGB is widely regarded as the birthplace of punk rock, and the number of bands that played there and even got their start there is staggering. The movie will premiere at New York's CBGB Festival from October 9-13 and will hit theaters nationwide on October 11.

The soundtrack features the music of Blondie, Talking Heads, Television, The Velvet Underground, and more. It even ends with a track by CBGB founder Hilly Kristal. The soundtrack will be released October 8 on CD, as well as on a translucent pink vinyl LP.

Since it will be a few months before the release, here's the soundtrack in a Spotify playlist for you. The only track missing is "Out of Control," but the rest of the soundtrack is here and ready to be rocked out to.
