Sarah Lee Guthrie & Johnny Irion have been collaborating on a few songs with Wilco's Jeff Tweedy for their upcoming album, Wassaic Way. Along with producing the album, Tweedy plays guitar on the latest one to be released, entitled "Chairman Meow," which is a cheery song that sounds like it would feel perfectly at home on Paul Simon's Graceland album. Why it's called "Chairman Meow" is anyone's guess, but the song tells the story of a girl in Los Angeles who owns a cat with this name. Perhaps they felt that the name would be an attention-grabber. Which, truthfully, it is.

Wassaic Way hits stores August 6, but you can pre-order it on Guthrie and Irion's official site.
