Charli XCX and Bleachers -- the solo project of fun.'s Jack Antonoff -- are set to bring their co-headlining Charli and Jack Do America tour to the Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, OK Friday, August 7. The joint tour began on May 2 in Memphis, Tennessee, and will extend into a second leg until October 10 in Salt Lake City, and features opening acts Robert DeLong and BØRNS on various dates.
Tickets for the tour have been consistent on the secondary market, and across the map, the average price of a ticket to see Charli XCX and Bleachers is $103.47. The cheapest date on the tour is currently their July 27 show in Portland, Oregon where the average secondary ticket price is $47, with a get-in price of $41. The most expensive date on the tour is their September 19 show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ, where the average ticket price is $119.37, with a get-in price of $73. For their Friday show at the Cains Ballroom, the general admission get-in ticket price is currently $50, according to Totally Tickets.
Charli XCX’s biggest successes include features on Icona Pop's massive hit, “I Love It,” and Iggy Azalea's “Fancy.” In 2014, Charli XCX’s track “Boom Clap” became a top ten hit. Strange Desire is the debut album of Antonoff’s indie-pop act, Bleachers, and peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s U.S. rock and alternative charts. Recently, the duo appeared together on Complex’s In-Ride Sessions: Charli XCX and Jack Antonoff Trade Remixes, where Antonoff covered Charli XCX's hit “Break the Rules,” and Charli covered Bleachers' track “Rollercoaster.”
Although Bleachers has had slightly less commercial success in contrast to Antanoff’s other project, fun. – which spawned massive singles like “We Are Young” and “Some Nights,” -- the secondary ticket sales for each project have produced similar results. In 2013, fun. toured with Tegan & Sara, and the average secondary price for that tour was $89.79. Bigger shows, however, like the band’s stop at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on February 2, 2013, had much more competitive prices, including an average ticket price of $413 for that show. In 2013, the average price to see Charli XCX was $81.99 across the map, and in 2014 for a smaller tour, the average secondary ticket price was $38.
